The name “laser die-cutting” may be misleading: You either die-cut, or laser-cut, but the result is similar: By cutting with laser it is possible to create incredible fine contours and –if desired- also the waste-stripping can be done at the same time. The digital data created in the CAD-system is transfered directly to the laser-cutter and therefore no cutting-die is needed.
The process of laser-cutting is ideal for cutting letters/words, logos and finest contours, i.e. perforations for stamps, thinnest cuts on maps, greetings, business cards, envelopes, pop-ups, mock-ups, etc.
During the cut traces of powder are produced with more or less intensity (depending on the substrate). Those traces are not relevant by cutting coloured and even certain white substrates. With pleasure we cut samples for you in order to get convinced about the excellent cutting quality! The following materials can be cut by this technology: Paper, wood, veneer, leather, certain plastics (not PVC).
Another possibility of the laser cutting technology is the kiss-cutting of self-adhesive labels and stickers. These are made of a two-layer material and due to a very precise adjustment of the laser only the upper layer is cut, whereas the substrate remains undamaged. This process is preferably used in short runs, as the use of a cutting die is not required and the most sophisticated contours are possible to cut with this cost-efficient method.
This way you are able to offer your customer full-fledged labels even if only a single sheet is requested.
Please note that we need some additional sheets to make the fine adjustment of the laser. Also the ideal laser power has to be found, in case the substrate is not known to us.
When we say “engraving”, the ablation of material in certain areas of the substrate is meant. Words, letters, logos and also pictures are ideal to be engraved by a laser. Laser engraving on acrylic glass illuminated with LED strips looks especially neat. Please get in touch if you want to see it in person.
For engraving with laser the following materials are used: Cardboard, paper, acrylic, leather, varnished and coated metals, anodized aluminium, wood, glass, stone or marble. Even an egg or a pepper can be engraved with your company’s logo or the title of an event … there are no limits for your creativity.
Do you want to create unique effects? With the help of micro-perforation your pictures virtually shine through the paper.
Thanks to the digital way of manufacturing all products can be personalized very easy: You just replace a name on the screen and the same product can be offered with the name of different recipients, as for example the invitation for an event or a greeting card. Show us your creativity!
- Most plastics (except PVC)
Using this innovative technology there are almost no limits to you creativity. On this way you can engrave gifts and presents or produce your own cards for any event, also with a personal touch.
By using different materials it is also possible to achieve a lot of different optical effects.
